It makes perfect sense, you want a hard cover for the bed to keep your valuables safe inside, but it messes with your aerodynamics so you add a wing to correct them , but then you need a place for more items to go but these aren’t good enough to be locked in the bed so you add some lugage bars to your hard cover, its the perfect solution to so many problems.
